A Focus on a New Generation
Many of the Islamic Center of Fremont's programs are focused on the younger members of the mosque, designed to help these children learn Islam and proper Islamic values while still living normal lives as part of the greater community. The mosque is home to a chapter of the Boy Scouts of America, and every Sunday transforms the local Kennedy High School into an Islamic School that educates students from Pre-K up to 7th grade.
Especially of note is the Ilm Academy, a full time school that blends an Islamic curriculum with a well-rounded education, currently serving students from kindergarten through the fourth grade. In fact, one of the main reasons the center is currently seeking a new location is to expand the Ilm Academy and need a larger site to do so.
